Those with a penchant for fantasy and an infatuation with indigenous culture will find themselves enthralled by this year’s WABorn Theatrical Fashion Show.
Proudly brought to you by the Colosoul Group Inc. and MYM Magazine, the WABorn Theatrical Fashion Show presents some of Western Australia’s greatest emerging designers in a showcase of theatrical extravaganza incorporating fashion, dance and drama in a spectacle exploring mythical rule and the roots of Australia’s oldest and most traditional ancestors.
Funds raised through the event will be donated to Halo Leadership, a non-profit agency that advocates the needs of Indigenous youth and their families through leadership and mentoring programs. Remaining funds will go to the Colosoul Group Inc.’s Mentorship Program, which helps young West Australians to develop skills in the creative arts and media.
WABorn will showcase the talents of sixteen WA local emerging and established designers, including Jonte Pike, who earned the title of ‘Most Outstanding Work’ at this year’s Joondalup Festival, as well as contributors to the festival Yan Zion; anotherone of WA’s local talents.
