Perth brother/sister Band, The Voltaire Twins are finally gaining the recognition they deserve. After a recent, well deserved WAMI award win for Dance/ Electronic act of the year, and their single Anamalia debuting at #1 position on the US dance/indie charts, they are really making waves in the music scene both locally and internationally, with their young, fresh, electro sounds.

Their single Young Adult is synth pop at its best, layered with intense drum beats and dreamy, echoed voices – it’s the summer song that lasts all summer. With catchy lyrics like ‘we will always be teenagers’, it ignites nostalgic memories of youth, and the synth layers of the song are reminiscent of the popular dance music of the 80s. When you hear the track you can almost see the flashing lights and strobes coming through, and the uncontrollable dancing and tapping takes hold with this catchy tune.

The twin’s voices are perfectly suited and harmonise well together, producing ghostly echoes within the track. The indie darlings have their own unique style and this is mirrored in their musical style, with their layers of beats, hollowing voices, and synthesised sounds, make for the perfect combination. The song is a definite summer road trip track, and the Voltaire Twins will no doubt become regulars on the festival circuit.
